Information for Patients

Instant Diagnostic Systems - aka IDS - is a Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF) providing home oximetry testing and sleep apnea testing nationwide utilizing local Home Medical Equipment (HME) providers to deliver and pick up the testing equipment and required forms. The IDS IDTF, much like any medical lab, is responsible for providing test instructions, support, and when we receive the test data, we do the processing, validating, and creating of test reports from the data from your tests.

IDS is required to bill you or your insurance company for these tests, as well as make attempts to collect co-payment. The patient will be responsible for co-pays, deductable, and non-coverage by insurance. Testing delivered to the home by a home medical equipment company or IDTF, that is not billed for, may be in violation of Federal Stark - Anti-Kickback - Laws.
